Take an image of the system. Wipe the disk and install a clean OS. Verify the problem has gone away --> problem lies with something in the disk image

When I build a new machine, I take several images along the way and store them on a labeled, bare drive (that I keep in a shoebox of similar drives from every other machine I've built). E.g., for a windows machine (those usually the most difficult to keep running properly), I take images:

• after installing the OS from CD/DVD
• after installing the drivers
• after installing any OS updates
• after installing the "basic/core" utilities
• after installing the specific applications for that workstation
• after configuring everything

In this way, I can roll back to any point in the build process to see where a problem may have been introduced.

[Often, some combination of applications won't work properly and I don't want to have to start over again just to back out the offending application(s)]

after all that i found its facebook causing the issue ..
radiospares tab was also hogging too

not sure how to fix facebook issue as yet

rs and farnel/cpc use a hell of a lot of java,
fuckbook was predictable, it tries to acess your mic and camera.

now then i am getting somewhere .. hope so anyway ... multiple reloading of facebook tab can invoke the fault which isnt the fault as such ..
now what happens is cpu is freed up in short time instead of being throttled continuously .

that seems to have fixed it but on testing it my power down plug blew up .. i ramped cpu up to 60 percent by reloaded all tabs about 6 times .fan was flat out then pow my amp and screen went off . now the power down plug wont work and smells of burning .. oh well never mind will have to get new one now .
