    Interesting PSU - Thermaltake Silent Purepower 680W

    here's one for mikey to go with the ram truck

    http://www.legitreviews.com/article.php?aid=176&pid=1

    looks better built than i have seen before. i see a chemi-con cap there and a TNR? cap. I would pay $200 for rubycons and 5+ years service, looks like disappointment there. currents on the rails are not so great also.

    LMAO Mikey wouldn't know what to do with such power...

    Not a bad looking PSU!! Thermaltake is a bit over-rated IMO, way too pricey. I've had really good luck with Sparkle and Enermax PSU's, but I LOVE thermaltake CPU coolers. I've never had a Thermaltake PSU, so I can't offer any input on their lifespan or reliability. All my servers and my personal systems have Zippy redundant PSU's, and I've never had a problem out of them.

    You're right tho, for $200+, I want Rubies, not some no-name crap.

          actually it is pretty difficult to find one of the minor brands you guys talk about in Greece. but since last year there has been big distribution of thermaltake, fortron, ocz and one major chain which i used to think sucked is now doing a full range of cases and modding accessories, waterblocks etc. i dont know who they hired to change their product range. prices are correct as well. anything esoteric used to be mondo expensive. still is but at least similar to what other europeans pay. got dsl in my house no probs also, things are looking good.

            >>> i see a chemi-con cap there and a TNR? cap <<<

            TNR = Series of Fuhjyyu I think.

            Have two Antec TP2 with Fuhjyyu TM series caps.
            In one PSU they are labeled TM and the same caps (same uF, volts, position in circuit) in the other PSU are labeled TMR.
            Fuhjyyu also has a TN series so some TN's may be labeled TNR.
            - And the printing on those is the same as the Fuhjyyu in my TP2's.

              Yes, my data shows TNR as a series of Fuh-kyoo caps.

                  so dood,

                  2 1/2 years and you didn't answer the question left open?

                  If old threads aren't here to be revived they why aren't they deleted?
