    wrt150n rebuild.no more lytics

this unit was unstable with several resets a day needed to keep it running.
the 220@6.3 suscons sizzled when i unsoldered them.
went all polys on this rebuild.
    next is dd-wrt.

This is exactly the router I wanted to buy and use DD WRT with. How long did the caps last before you had to change them. Also, how do you like the router?

Wait, your eliminating the planned obsolescence.
        That's totally illegal.

it should be totally illegal to make/import landfill fodder like this.

Second or third of these notices, now. I can't imagine someone who's purchased in my tiny quantities is going to get ANYTHING out of it, so why bother?!

            TC?

(Also amusing to note that folks have kept records of these purchases "on my behalf"! :< )

Roland SPA-120 Amplifier Tech Notes / SM / Schematic Source?
            by KeyResults
Repairing a Roland SPA-120 amplifier, a solid-state early-mid 80's part of the Roland Rack. The PCB is Labled AP-124B. Was thinking lytics would resolve the nasty output on scope but all tested 100% for values, ESR, and leakage (very surprised!). Symptom is nasty wave form on both channels in Stereo mode, but clean in single channel mono (BTL) mode. The Output transistors test ok at room temp, but still could be faulty once heated up. Anyway, a schematic and some test point voltages would sure save some time. Thx!

Help: Looking for guru input on upgrading an S12II-based PSU
            by em132
The supply in question is an unused/"NOS" Antec EA-500 "80-Plus" (not the "Bronze") with Seasonic's early "500W" S12II board. While I don't yet have this supply in hand, I fully expect it to be filled with OST RLS and RLX. I plan to replace these with FR/FS Panos (mostly).

Of course, I also plan on replacing the big kahuna on the primary side. To that end, I'm currently holding a pageant to determine who'll wear the tiara. Here are the four finalists:

The ravishing "Lady in Red" is the current crowd favorite, largely...

This was a $25 ebay gamble. Seller said 'a capacitor is missing' and the card does not work.....well the card arrives, I discover 5 caps missing and 3 inductors missing. Poor handling at its finest!

This is a comparison to a known good identical card, the top one is the good one, the bottom one was the gamble subject:

Now to find the missing parts from junk..... The missing lytics were found in a faulty Matrox G450 card. The card had severe artifacting issues and wasn't worth messing with.....but tech haorder me just didn't trash it....it ended...
