Oh I found one with built in wifi (many of them only come with the wifi antenna cables and you have to install a mini m.2 wifi card).
What do you guys think? Its a mobile i5

they currently have a usb extension cable, running up a pole with a duct taped up USB wifi adapter. No problems

Got it. Mobile i5 broadwell. 24" samsung monitor with a back mount. But had issues installing on the 950 pro. Turns out it has its own driver for it's pci-express chip. I didn't have any usb issues. The usb was set to auto, which detects the current implimentation and switches. For instance it allows ehci on the windows install. The issue was never with broadwell, it was with skylake, which only allows xhci (yeah unless you impliment drivers on install boot). I found this out during a skylake i3-6100 build for a customer of mine. Luckily, the motherboard had a ps/2 keyboard/mouse combo, and I was able to go through the windows setup easily with just a keyboard. Unfortunately the usb install method did not work from my flash drive even with usb legacy mode on. Had to actually use sata otherwise it could not find source files. No problem with usb keyboard/mouse or usb install of the NUC

i see a big problem you said that the nuc will be used in a workshop and there is a lot of dust and computers and dust don't go very well as in this case the nuc is not fanless and it has a small fan and heatsink that will be cloged with dustComment

Hi guys, can someone help me?
I have an issue with laptop dell latitude e5490 that auto restart when arrive at certain point in loading windows.
Board model is dm70 la-f401p rev:1.0 2017-09-20.
At first, the issue is sometime ssd sata 2.5 not detected. i already try another cable, at certain point, it ok using old cable (i mean sata cable here).
After a few days test, is seems ok.
Days later, another issue come, that is auto restart when certain point in loading windows. i already test another ssd, another ram, another sata ribbon, still same.... -

Hi Everyone,
I have a Lenovo G50-80 that auto powers On when AC (Charger) is connected. I have checked the BIOS settings and there is no option to turn On or Off that feature as it is in some HP EliteBooks. I did update the BIOS and still same.
I then flashed the BIOS with a different bin file I downloaded here, It worked (didn't auto power on) for some time (after testing up to 5 times) but has now started again to auto power on when AC is connected.
The CMOS battery voltage is 3v. I have also tested with two main batteries as well. I would be glad if anyone... -
detecting heat with IR LED receiver
I have some dark IR led, and want to know if it is be situable to detect pure heat (not visable glow ir radiation) in well lighted desk?
So, if I put hand over it in near distance like few centimeters, that detect rising heat, not covering it from light.
Something like termal camera, but in one spot, any simple circuit?... -
Hello everyone,
i was reballing the power manger of a moto g84, after applying heat i tried to power on and it wouldn’t.
i injected 1.5v to some capacitor that seem in short because both side beep if tested.
when i inject i feel the cpu burning;
since the cpu is exactly on the other side of the board, is that possible that the heat from the reballing damaged the cpu? do you know where i can find schematics or what can i do?
i know this is not enough to explain the situation so if you need any other info ask me please!
