Notes:
1) their "large" capacitor is only 1000uf, dwarfed by the capacitance available on every motherboard I've ever seen.
2) adding an extra pair of connectors to the circuit probably adds far more resistance-based problems than would ever be solved by adding capacitance.
3) why does that look like a badcap, likely to fail, causing problems?
