Can I SLi two GTX650s of a different brand?

My friend gave me his old MSI GTX 650 Ti Boost, it has a problem with the fans but otherwise it works.
Provided I can fix the fans, can I use this with my Asus GTX 650 Ti Boost in an SLI config?
Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

It looks like the answer is yes:

    Caveats

Not all motherboards with multiple PCI-Express x16 slots support SLI. Recent motherboards as of August 2014 that support it are Intel's Z and X series chipsets (Z68, Z77, Z87, Z97, X79 and X99) and AMD's 990FX chipset.[8] Aside from a few exceptions, older motherboards needed certain models of nForce chipsets to support SLI.
In an SLI configuration, cards can be of mixed manufacturers, card model names, BIOS revisions or clock speeds. However, they must be of the same GPU series (e.g. 8600, 8800) and GPU model name (e.g. GT, GTS, GTX).[9] There are rare exceptions for "mixed SLI" configurations on some cards that only have a matching core codename (e.g. G70, G73, G80, etc.), but this is otherwise not possible, and only happens when two matched cards differ only very slightly, an example being a differing amount of video memory, stream processors, or clockspeed. In this case, the slower/lesser card becomes dominant, and the other card matches. Another exception is the GTS 250, which can be paired with the 9800 GTX+, as the GTS 250 GPU is a rebadged 9800 GTX+ GPU.
In cases where two cards are not identical, the faster card – or the card with more memory - will run at the speed of the slower card or disable its additional memory. (Note that while the FAQ still claims different memory size support, the support has been removed since revision 100.xx of NVIDIA's Forceware driver suite.)

What motherboard have you got ? Some with 2 PCI-E x16 slots were only crossfire (AMDs) solution and not the more expensive to license SLI.
And whilst technically you should, i've come across an issue with identical cards not working due to different firmware/bios (can't remember the details) so give it a try. You might need to buy the SLI link.
And make sure your PSU is up to the job.

RTX3090 working fine but fans not spinning
        by emil_t
Hello guys. I have a problem with a PNY XLR8 GAMING RTX3090 graphics card. The problem is that it displays and works fine, but the fans don't spin at all. The problem occurred when someone else removed the fans in order to clean it and broke one of the fan connectors. He replaced it himself and after that, it wasn't working anymore. I guess he damaged something else in the process. What i have done so far: I found 2 capacitors next to the connector that were in a bad shape, he must have touched them with his tools - they weren't shorted, but i replaced them with similar ones from a similar card....

BEST 505 Vs Mechanic Brand Reballing Balls with Lead
        by Stanley1843
        Hello,
has anyone use these Brands of solder balls? The brand BEST writes on the label of the jar the specs of the solder balls instead of the Mechanic brand. I beleive that BEST brand must be more professional (in labeling at least) but I have never try one of them so I would like your opinion. By the way I hardly can I find the Mechanic brand in aliexpress (the only where I found was lead free solder balls) and on ebay these that I found are approximately15USD per jar. If you know any other trusted brand of solder balls please tell me.

        Good Afternoon, Good People.

I know this will be an elementary little project for most if not all of you, but I thought I would write a post and get put on track, rather than bumbling my way through it with all kinds of trials and errors.

I REALLY would appreciate y'alls help.

This is the problem - My wife and I purchased a big ol Victorian/Colonial House in NYC two years ago. The kitchen is surrounded on 3 sides by exterior walls, there is also a 1/4 of the kitchen floor (ceramic tiles) that has a crawl space underneath, and the kitchen gets FREEZING cold...
