Re: Windows XP End of Life Approaching
I skipped ME and Vista and will skip Windows 8 - you shouldn´t buy operating systems that are merely a service pack for a previous os or that do not meet your needs.
Windows XP however was around for a VERY long time so I´ll keep at least one machine running it for the forseeable future. I will continue to use this machine for running software, that doesn´t support Win7 and that I´m not willing to buy once more.
For surfing the net XP isn´t the first choice anymore because of growing security issues but you can use a Win7 or Linux machine for that.
For more than a decade I run all my systems as dual-boot with Debian being the second os.
As for XP, I think most of us will never forget it.
