    Does such a thing exist??

I'd give you the reason, but you would just shake your head and wonder what the hell is going on in the FAA, so.........

...anyway.....is there any piece of hardware that will take 10 PC VGA inputs and selectively output to 4 different monitors?

There are 10 PCs. They have 4 big monitors. They want to be able to select an input and display it on whichever monitor they want.

what their solution was would blow your mind.

i tried to do a search, but couldn't get anywhere. just hoping that someone here has heard of such a thing.

yes of course. everything you want can be done.

there is offerings from http://9xmedia.com/ (these look to be server based which i would not recommend)

what you really want is an NTI video matrix switch http://www.networktechinc.com/vmtx.html#

what i am thinking though is that you have 10pcs and 4 external big monitors. but you also have the 10 monitors that the computers already have (so 14 outputs really).

You could use one solution which would be the 16in and 16out but that would be quite expensive at $8310 (plus the cables).

It would probably be cheaper to put two graphics cards in each pc and run one to the local monitor and the other to the switch (unless they already have dual output vga cards in). So you would need the 16in and 4out at $2915. (plus the cables)

control of the switch would be via rs232 or over the lan with a web based interface

can i have a job please. it sucks here this week

damn Will....I can't believe I missed this! I would have replied earlier. Sorry dude.

Its such a cluster f$%k they have. Air Traffic Controllers are children. Ugh.......

The PCs they want info displayed from is about as non-standard as can be envisioned by the human mind. UGH!!!!!! If I showed you pics of how they have their crap wired right now, you would dump right where you sit. It is the most unbelievable mound of $h!t.

Pioneer RM-07 Active monitors cutting out from time to time
        by BigOof
I have a pair of Pioneer RM-07 monitors that I bought a while ago. When I was testing them I noticed that one speaker would cut out and I thought it was just a bad cable connection. At the price they were being sold for I was willing to take a risk on them. However, 6 months later and the one monitor still has the same issue. Most of the time it works, but there are times that the power LED is on but I get absolutely no sound. I can hear the relay clicking on/off sometimes and then it will/won't work depending on what it feels like. I've tried XLR and RCA inputs with the same issue. There's no...

TVs vs Computer Monitor Reliability & Failure Rate
        by nobbnobb1
Anecdotally, it seems to me that TVs fail much more often than computer monitors judging from personal experience and looking at the classified where people are getting rid of broken/malfunctioning TVs all the time.

So I'm just wondering if this is the case? Is there something inherent in the design of monitors that makes them more reliable? I would've thought they'd be operating under more severe conditions than a TV. For a typical family, a TV may only be on for a few hours every day. Whereas a monitor could be on 8+ hours, along with countless power cycles turning on/off as power...

        Socomec ITY2-TW100B ITYS 10KvA UPS
        by LemoneyF
Blokes Im not even sure where to start looking.

I have a broken Socomec 10KvA online single phase UPS, specifically an ITY2-TW100B.

Does anyone have any experience with these? 6KvA ITYS units also share a mainboard, I believe.

There is an issue with the bypass circuit on the mainboard- out of ten intial error codes Im down to one (yay aliexpress components), but after four months im ready to give up. 140kg boat anchor.

I need to find a complete mainboard.

Socomec have stonewalled me and wont give me any schematics. The manual has...

        ASUS PG27U MONITOR
        by myth77
First, i dont work on monitors only on laptops and that also for a hobby. So, i received this monitor in the title and it was completely dead, and power supply when used was going off to a power protection. I found that one of the voltage regulators for backlight GS9238 is dead, so i replaced it and monitor is working fine now. But...on the main motherboard first thing i tested was a main power rail and after power jack there is one mosfet Nikos PD537BA. The thing is when i tested all pins of that mosfet are shorted in between. Now when i plug the adapter the monitor just goes on. I dont think...

ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING - M.2_2 port not working correctly with SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD
        by DynaxSC
        Hi,

I have an really very weired issue with ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING.

Some NVME (PCIe) SSD's are not working correctly in the second M.2 socket. An example of it is the SAMSUNG SSD980 1TB NVME SSD.
Some other NVME (I have only smaller ones) disk do work without any problem, also SAMSUNG disks, eg an MZVPV128HDGM-0000.

The behaviour is also really very strange, i.e.:
        • The disk shows always up in BIOS - so it is recognized, so far so good
        • POST-ing with this disk with fresh Windows 24H2 installation (done in the M.2_1 socket) in the M.2_2 socket
        ...
