    Best 15.4" CCFL laptop screen?

The screen on my L300 is pretty abysmal to be honest. Does anyone know of any particularly good models?

Not bothered about screen res really, if anything would prefer 1280x800 over anything else.

    Cheers!

Some of the Satellite A200 models have better than usual viewing angle like the PSAF6A-xxxxxx models. I find with 90% of screens I have seen on most brands and models, the image looks negative when viewed from below axis.
I cant comment about connection compatibility. They are 1280x800.
The HK speakers in most of the A200 laptops sound better than some TV speakers do, if the cone surrounds are still intact.

I'm assuming you mean Toshiba Satellite L300?

Can you find out what make and model the actual panel is?

Cheers buddy, I'll take a look at them. For the record my current screen is an LP154WX4-TLC8.

        And yeah, Satelite L300.

Hmm, it's an LG. So it's not a brandless piece of shit.

Indeed, surprised me too. It's got a really nice glossy finish but the panel itself is just crap.

I have another glossy screen from a Stone computer that's a lot nicer, might swap that and see how it looks.

What problem do you notice with the L300 screen?

The colors seem very bland I suppose, even compared to my ancient Acer X223HQ VGA monitor. I've tried the Windows calibration thing with no luck.

Just opened up the Stone computer and found one of these. Worth replacing the LP154WX4?

EDIT: Just did. Screen is FANTASTIC. :-)

A tad dim though, might need the CCFL replacing.

Think I might just outright replace the panel with a brand new one. Reckon a 1440x900 panel like a Chi Mei N154C1 would be good?

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                        by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

                        Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
                        by ttmi100x
                        Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

                        Upon closer inspection...

                        Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
                        by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

Vizio TV M50-C1 reboot cycle and static on screen
                        by spice_disc
I'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.

The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...
