Do you mean Internet security? Anti virus should not to that kind of harm. If you lost the password for internet security, i am sorry, you have to reinstall windows. It is a pain in the ass, to remove a Norton program from a system without desinstallation routine. This stuff is burried to dep in the os.

Yup. I'm sorry to say, if you don't have the password for an administrative account on windows, its time for a reinstall...

Norton Internetsecurity has IMHO some additionall passwords for user settings and deinstallation and to protect it beeing disabled from malware. I have had similar problems at a customers site. In the end i figured it out to get it removed. Once i have tried to remove a Norton produkt manually, ..... those gays are realy insane, they go that deep into the windows systems and polute the registry in a real bad way.

Resetting your Options menu password in Norton Internet Security
          http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...is&svy=&csm=no

i dont like that software. better to use seperate antivirus and firewall. or even just get a router with a hardware firewall.

shoot the symantec webmaster as well for that long url......dont they have mod_rewrite on lotus domino????

Norton and Mcafee are supposed to be the good guys?
I often fight to clean up computers infested with all sorts of malware, but I can never get rid of the Symantec, Mcafee, or AOL or Earthlink or Turbotax, stuff.
