This past weekend, I ordered a Wolfdale E8600 from StarMicro, which in my book is the replacement for Geeks.com.
It came yesterday. I'm going to tear down in approximately 5 minutes!

It took a lot longer, because I had to clean the heatsink fins with 91 percent alcohol and I added wire to hold my card reader in place, where I used to have a 3.5" floppy disk drive!
The processor cost less than the E8400 at Geeks.com in 2012!
And it looked like brand new! I didn't even have to wipe off any of the contact pads!
The E8600 is in! 4 Ghz should be easy!
