I got a weird one for you guys

So I got 2 pc's at home and one is usually always on and playing videos on it non-stop and the second one is my brother's. What happens is when my brother turns on his pc I experience slowdowns in framerate on videos on my unit and it lasts for about 20-30 seconds. Also when I experience these slowdowns task manager on my pc shows spikes in CPU usage.
    My PC specs are:
    Athlon II X2 245
    Asus m4n78 SE
    2gb DDR2 800
    Inno3D GT220
    Delux 500W labeled (260-280 real)

    My brother's PC:
    2800+ Sempron
MSI K7N2 DeltaL/ILSR (Damn good board with Rubys and Sanyos all over it, good overclocker too)
    512mb DDR 400
    Ati Radeon 9200SE
Also using a Delux PSU, an older model though 400w labeled

My first guess is that my brothers PSU is failing and causing some interference. Also I share the internet connection with my brother via ICS so maybe that's got something to do with the case. I haven't got the time to check the old PSU right now, I just wanted your input on the matter.

I bet you're spot on with the ICS thing. I'm not sure how cpu intensive the dhcp server and nat routing service is

    buy a router

      1. Get a new PSU
      2. Get a router

(Weird) BIOS info for HP Pavilion Aero 13-be1021AU
        by Loki_Fido
        Hi folks,

This HP Pavilion Aero 13-be1021AU came to me for a repair. And it seems to have a weird BIOS chip. (Pic attached)
I asked my CH341A to read it and doesn't even know what to do with this. We are both very confused.

        BIOS - XMC 25RU128CH10 (1.8v)

What the heck is this? I looked all over the MB. This is the only bios.
When I asked the NeoProgrammer to detect it, it just pops up an empty screen, and asked me to enter the bios number. And when I did, it doesn't do anything. NeoProgrammer showed me just this SPI ID: 204418. Don't know what...

APC BR1000G battery backup has a weird issue sometimes a bad battery icon and making a weird sound for about 30 seconds
        by sam_sam_sam
This started a few days ago and does this about every 8 hours

After it does this it goes back to normal no bad battery icon and no weird sounds and it goes to battery backup mode so I am not sure what is going on with this battery backup

The battery backup is about 3 or 4 years old

Dose anyone have any idea on how to troubleshoot this issue I have never had a battery backup do this kind-a thing before so I am not sure exactly how to troubleshoot it and where to start

820-02020 Super Weird Issue: Keyboard Input Character Map "Wrong"?
        by ugamazing
So, I have a really bizarre issue that I'm struggling to identify the cause of. Working on an 820-02020 board with some bizarre keyboard/input-source character mapping. My suspicion is a possible damaged SPI ROM (U1970), perhaps, but I'm really not sure in this case:

        1. The issue is pretty weird, but when installing MacOS, I noticed my WiFi password did not work. I quickly realized the special characters (!@#$%^& etc) were not mapping correctly.

        2. I noticed the keyboard layout/input-source is defaulting to JAPANESE every single time I restore the board. I am not...

Weird clipping on Logitech Z-10 speakers
        by dreamlayers
I bought used Logitech Z-10 computer speakers. They can act as a USB audio device or accept line input, and they have a headphone output jack. Some music didn't sound right, so I played a frequency sweep and heard other frequencies and beat frequencies between them and the sweep. I uploaded a spectrogram of a frequency sweep. From the very start, some but not all odd harmonics are visible, indicating symmetric distortion. Then at higher frequencies there are descending images of those harmonics, indicating non-linearity and constant higher frequency noise mixing with the harmonics. The image of...
