    Video Problem Or What ?

    I have this brand new PC i have talked to you guys before about...It was a barebone kit' Asus M/B ' lots of good brand parts...Only running a few weeks & started to blue screen...Done some test and showed problems with 1 of 4 Sticks of ram...Took out the 1 that tested bad and no more bluescreen..But after that every 2-4 days i would see a real fast small flicker of some sort'''You would miss it if you were not looking straight at the screen..Then maby later that day you would all of a sudden get a realy messed up screen just all at once..Looks like snow/raster/video lines combined...I was talking on the magicjack phone today when it happened' lost connection' tryed cont/alt/delete....Seems nothing works when it does this...You can still see my destop & icons in the background...Does this look like video/powersupply/ or even more memory problems...I have retested the memory with onboard tester and showed nothing' last time i used a wayy longer test..You have to shut the computer down by power button' then for 5 hours now, still working fine...Did this 5 days ago and has been working fine till i saw that small quick flicker & then the video messed up...Here is a link below to the video clip...

    That's called unstable voltages due to Asus cheaping out on MOSFETs and other on-board VR components.

      No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

        Wrong Again! It wound up being a Seasonic P/S....Replaced it with a CORSAIR Professional Series HX850' problem solved...

            Interesting, as seasonic is a very high quality manufacturer. They make a lot of Corsairs unit (although yours in particular is made by CWT)

            Sometimes certain motherboards and certain power supplies just don't agree.

              That's ASUS for ya. They don't even agree with Seasonic PSUs. I'd say your problem was partly the motherboard. The HX850 may have somewhat lower ripple than the other one. The motherboard's filtering probably can't handle anything over like 30mV on the 12V and 10mV on the other rails (even though ATX specs say it can go much higher).
