I've installed the correct drivers. Why doesn't it work?

I was about to say to find yourself a passive-cooled card.I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!
No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

Re: Minecraft not liking Intel G31 Chipset video?
This seems like a good deal:

Not sure if you can mount a bigger heatsink - should run fine passively cooled with a bigger heatsink.
This could be a nice project for you:

Make an offer for something like 10-15$ and change a few caps and you have a good silent card. Worst case, you can maybe replace the heatsink on the cards you have with the heatsink from this
This seems like a good deal as well:

Lots of cheap cards on Ebay...

Intel is better under Linux, in my experience.
Ubuntu and Debian work like a charm.
I would avoid Puppy. Puppy has had broken Intel X.Org support, especially 4.3!ASRock B550 PG Velocita

And some distros don't include the 3D Intel support out of the box and I dunno why.
-> Do not use Puppy 4.3 under any circumstances! <-
I have i915 and it works fine with Ubuntu and Debian.Last edited by RJARRRPCGP; 11-01-2011, 05:50 PM.ASRock B550 PG Velocita
