Re: MacBook Pro Hard Disck to SSD Ocz Agility 3...
real shame they used that brand of SSD. I'm only using Intel SSDs. It may not be the fastest SSD like the OCZ, However the OCZ has a poor reliability record. They really don't get along with Dell laptops BTW. I chose Reliable over speed.

For details. the OCZ they recommend not cloning, with the Intel I just cloned the existing drive and done Intel provides cloning S/W too. -

Then I installed on a macbook pro with 4 gigs ddr3 i5, and boots in 12 seconds. Overall performance is very good on this unit, I am very surprised and is almost at the level of intel. Perhaps the fastest I've tested with Windows for example has been the brand Kingston ... if it is true that the new intel are the creme de la creme .... Greetings fellow and thanks for your response.Comment

Re: MacBook Pro Hard Disck to SSD Ocz Agility 3...
The Intel from my research are not the fastest. Just the most reliable. From my reading the MacBook Pro OS also does not support trim on the SSD
And yes I would say any SSD will improve the computer. I put one in an older single core and the startup time is much better and the applications load real fast. I now do not mind using it. I cloned the old drive as I didn't want to have to start over with a faster computer and set everything up again. I'm a bit lazy that way.
My Desktop I do not mind re-doing periodically. The laptop is my do anything financial computer.
With a 12 seconds boot it sure is nice isn't it.
You might want to visit the OCZ forums and look for tips and utilities to keep it running best.Comment

by envymHi everyone!
I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.
I tried using the built-in tool to restore the MacBook (Settings > General > Transfer or restore > Delete) but it got stuck when trying to remove the Find Device configuration (it asked me for the password for my old Apple ID -now I use the same account but...06-27-2025, 08:54 AM -

by federalhouseHi everyone,
I'm in need of assistance with a Dell Precision 5820 Tower. The BIOS is locked with "Dell Security Manager," preventing access to the HDD-1 hard drive.
**Background:**
I recently purchased this Dell Precision 5820 Tower from a recycler who salvages equipment from abandoned office spaces. The computer was left behind by its previous owner and was password locked. Given that it can run Windows 11, I saw this as an opportunity to upgrade my setup.
**What I've Tried So Far:**

by InstafixxHello,
I have a Macbook 820-3115 with the question mark sign.
Replaced the cable.
Tried a New SSD.
Issue Persists.
Cleaned the and Soldered the Connector of the Hard Disk on the board. It worked once and then again the same.
Went ahead and replaced the connector. Still the same.
