While I'm thinking of it, there ARE two similarities of Dothan chips and P4s that do often get confused, though.
A) Dothans evolved into the Yonah core, which was used in Core Solo, Core Duo, Celeron, and Pentium Dual Core (not D). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yonah_%28microprocessor%29
Pentium Ds are simply two hot Netburst chips in one.
This is a good read as well, as it basically dissuades anyone from buying a P4 after you make any logical comparisons

B) Dothan and Banias Pentium M CPUs used socket 479 in laptop and desktop boards. Pin-wise, it looks nearly like a socket 478, especially the mobile variety, but is a completely different beast.
