    Best Cap Manufacturers on Digikey

    Hey all,

Forgive me if this has been beaten like a dead horse but...

I noticed none of the top ranked cap companies on this site are available for ceramic caps on Digikey... this begs the question... how would you rank the available manufacturers on Digikey?

    Cheers,

That's because ceramics don't have the same failure modes as electrolytics, and the brand doesn't really matter.

That said, I'd trust the ceramic capacitors sold by Digi-Key over unbranded ones from eBay\China.

      Cyberpower 1500AVR UPS repair
      by quickname
I'd like to start out by thanking this forum for providing the info to be able to repair my 15 year old CP1500AVRLCD UPS. Here is all the info I gathered during my trouble-shooting and re-capping.

Like clockwork, I've had to replace the SLA batteries every 4 years. It was about that time and the UPS was acting like it needed new batteries... randomly shutting off with AC present, not being able to charge fully, and poor runtime when AC was removed. So, I replaced the batteries but noticed that it was not charging properly.

I decided to verify that the batteries were...

      MSI K7T266 Pro (Ver. 1.0)
      by ssl6
      Hey Everyone,

Long time lurker, but I think this is my first time posting.

Just looking for some assistance on identifying some suitable replacement capacitors for an MSI K7T266 Pro (Ver. 1.0). I just got my hands on two of them actually, both working but one has some visibly bulging capacitors and the other has a few that I can't tell for sure if they're bulging because it's faint at best if they are.

I'll be honest I don't fully understand much on capacitor spec sheets beyond voltage and capacitance but I can solder like nobodies business so I've...

Apple NVIDIA AGP GeForce 6800 GT Dual Link DVI+DVI outputs 603-6338 missing caps!
      by jpreza
      Hi everyone,

I recently acquired this card from a seller who was selling a PowerMac G5 for parts. He mentioned that the video card was probably broken too.

Upon closer inspection, I can tell the reason why it won't work: it's missing a bunch of CAPS! (it's also missing an inductor - 1.0uH).

It's a nice card as it's one of the few AGP cards that will support 2560 x 1600 resolution on a PowerMac G5 using a 30" Cinema Display.

Looking at the card, it appears to be missing the following:

      1x 1.0uH inductor - orange square

Finding comparable ferrite beads on mouser/digikey?
      by mrkmpn
I have an inspiron with "power rail failure" LED codes flashing, and have found a blown capacitor and ferrite bead (inductor, I guess...)

I've found the replacement capacitor on mouser, but am unsure how to properly search for the ferrite bead. I have the schematics and boardview, so I have found the original bead part#, but the data sheet doesn't seem to include the information I need for the filters on mouser and digikey.

For inductance, and a few other values it just says "Refer to standard electrical characteristics list"

      Here's...

can I swap a screen from different manufacturers?

It seems like this should be possible...just the outer screen and diffusion screen from say TCL...could I not use that to fix an LG? Just throwing some manufacturers out there...
