    Replacing surface-mount snap in caps

    I've got a videocard that had a capacitor knocked off of it. Is it possible to solder a new cap on in it's place? It is one of those caps that has a plastic base soldered to the board. The entire thing came off the board. How do you solder the plastic base without melting it?

      Marking on the caps is as follows-

      450 (could also be 45q?)
      180
      16v

      I would take this to be a 1800uf? or is it just a 180uf? I can't seem to find any suitable replacements at digikey.

          Okay, just saw it's a solid polymer. Which means that it's probably 180uf 16v. Here's what I found from UCC
