I have been recapping for a while now. However, I do not know much about the workings/chemistry of the capacitor. I have found that replacing the 10uf caps in mice can improve their performance. I am wondering why some people advise that you leave capacitors less than 470uf?

It depends, if they're near the Southbridge or DIMM slots, it will probably help to replace them as well, if there are mysterious instability issues.Comment

I know this isn't troubleshooting related but thought it was the best place to ask. There is a supposedly working 32" Philips flat screen originally from India for free near me on FB Marketplace. It's a PAL receiver but will do NTSC (?) from the HDMI inputs. Will add the model number later. I like quirky stuff but have plenty of TV's/monitors around so I don't really know what to do with it. Should I get it and see if there is a compatible NTSC/ATSC tuner board that could be swapped in?

Hello! I'm replacing a RAM chip on my 1080 ti and may have taken the old one off too soon, as one pad seems to be missing.
According to the Micron datasheet, it seems to be TDO (JTAG Test Data Out). On the PCB I don't see any connections (i.e. tracks) connected to that pad. Am I right in thinking I can leave it as it is when I put a new chip? (I might have to strategically remove the TDO solder ball on the chip so it doesn't try to flow anywhere else)

LG 49UF6400....LEAVE IT TO LG TO PUT SOME STUPID BACKLIGHT CONNECTOR on the LED strips that TAKES A MENSA CERTIFIED GENIUS to figure out how to detach.
Can anyone tell me how these connectors detach from the LED strips?

Samsung UN50H5203AF screen is blinking, ( picture 1)TV has total 60 LEDs , 34 LEDs no good, best way is change all the LED strips but I am lazy.
why tv is blinking, i think, over current power supply caused the blinking,
34 leds should be shorted, takeout bad leds or led trips is lots of work. why not just leave leds alone, so i need to add 26 leds to the tv panel.
Common Samsung UN series screen blinking problems. leave bad LEDs alone.....the easiest way is to add LEDs on. This is a good way if you are lazy.

I've been dealing with this 15" touchscreen monitor from the early 2010s. Over time, it has become more and more difficult to power on. As soon as a video signal comes in, the Faytech logo appears on the screen and then it goes black. Then a couple of seconds later the Faytech logo comes back up on the screen and it goes black again. This process repeats over and over again. Eventually if I leave it on long enough, the video display finally comes up and it works fine.
