    Blown Capacitor in Hammerhead XRT Device

    I have a walkabout Hammerhead XRT Win XP Tablet PC with a blown capacitor on the motherboard. Can anyone help me to identify the value of this capacitor and also It will be very helpful if you can tell me if any other component it would have taken along with it.

    This happened when an induction motor was switched-on (connected to the same mains electrical/power line where the Hammerhead device was connected). Is there a possibility that it would have taken down other surrounding resistors/IC's along with it?

    Can somebody help me with the connector pin out of this connector on the back of Hammerhead XRT device. I want to connect it to LAN and but I don't have a dock with me. So the only way is to make a custom adapter for this connector to connect to network.

    dont use google.

    you need to remove the cap, clean the board,
    then see where that cap connected.
    if it goes into that chip, get a datasheet.
    because it may have an example circuit that shows the cap value.

    as for the dock, i dont see any magnetics, so you need more than a connector.

      Does anyone have a picture of Hammerhead XRT Motherboard PCB?. That would help me to identify the capacitor that is blown in my device.

        so, this is the chip next to the cap.

        so if he cap is connected to pin1 and ground then it's c3 (100uf 35v)
        and if it's not connected to pin1 then you still need foto's

              Thanks stj, it was the 100uf 35 volt cap that was replaced and the device is working perfectly (7 months months since it was fixed) and no issues what so ever.

              Sorry stj I should posted this in December 2015 itself when the device was fixed.
              Many thanks for your solution.
