    Samsung C32HG70 - Blown Ceramic Capacitor (CP813)

    Hi everyone,

    I'm new to this, so I apologize for not providing enough details. Is there anything else I need to mention? I'm trying to learn more about electronic/board repairs and hopefully fix my own.

    The only visible issue on my board is one capacitor, CP813, which appears to be labeled R 221k 2kV (possibly obsolete to B 221k 2kV now). My monitor hadn't shown any prior issues, although it is a few years old. Just before the capacitor popped, there was a high-pitched squeal for 2–3 seconds.

    I don't see any other visible damage anywhere else on the board. Would replacing this capacitor be enough, or should I test anything else?

      Replace that subber cap, check the mosfets nearby and anything that has a heatsink on it and other snubber caps for dry solder joints. Also check those mosfets that these are good. See what happens.

          Samsung BN44-00262A H37F1-9SS power supply help finding blown value components!

          This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
          I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
          Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...
