I have recently gotten my hands on a rated 6 Farad, 2.7 volt YEC capacitor. With its small size and rather low voltage rating, I question whether this is a legit 6F cap or yet another fake. The only problem is that I don't have any testing equipment, only a D battery and some wire. (My cheapo DMM finally broke and I have nothing to test capacitance, ESR, etc.) My question is, is there any way to test the legitimacy of the cap?
I just have that inkling of a feeling that tells me that the cap may indeed be fake. I have attached pics of the cap and datasheet.

Notice that it isn't bulged, and although the legs are bent a little, that was me, when I got the thing it was new. I have only put it through a single charge/discharge cycle to see if it would blow like all those fakes I have seen before.
I have taken notice that people have put the YEC brand caps on their "avoid" list. Why exactly? Are YEC caps like the one I have typically fake and/or have a short life?
