Sorry if this is a duplicate. I searched this forum a bit and didn't see this capacitor specifically in my searches. Anyone know the manufacturer of the capacitor on this board? Usually Gigabyte says all Japanese capacitors but this board did not specify.

Re: Manufacturer of these caps?
They're polymer capacitors, so it really matters very little if they're Japanese or not. Polymer capacitors are way more reliable compared to electrolytic capacitors and they don't have as many ways to fail as electrolytics.
Apaq is used heavily by lots of motherboard makers, Asus for example used them a lot.
They don't fail more or less than other brands so no need to worry.

Re: Manufacturer of these caps?
Hi.
Any tip if can be fake/real panasonic?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/171193345673...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I measured it and cap is about 980u, ESR (AVR tester) showed 0,00R while Nippon LXZ 1000/10 showed 0,08R..
I tried to find DS, no way - somebody mentioned that is limited for MTB supplier.
Thanks!

If the LXZ cap you have is the 8mm diameter, then yes, that is correct. The datasheet actually says 0.08 ohms for the 8mm diameter one! :P
The FL are low ESR electrolytic caps, I think this is one of the series with the elusive datasheet. So I don't know what ESR it should measure. But it should be quite low.

Re: Manufacturer of these caps?
As a general rule, if you find good-looking counterfeits on eBay, check if the seller is also listing obvious counterfeits. If this is the case, the genuine-looking parts are fake too.
I would say yours are fake. In fact, I would say -all- Panasonic FJ/FL on eBay are fake."We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years. But no, they wanted to fight. Fine! We gave them technology, the latest, the kind even Vietnam didn't have. They had double superiority in tanks and aircraft, triple in artillery, and in air defense and anti-tank weapons they had absolute supremacy. And what? Once again they were beaten. Once again they scrammed [sic]. Once again they screamed for us to come save them. Sadat woke me up in the middle of the night twice over the phone, 'Save me!' He demanded to send Soviet troops, and immediately! No! We are not going to fight for them."

Re: Manufacturer of these caps?
I just had an idea.
Why don't you cut open a genuine Panasonic FL and these, and compare the insides.
With polymer caps, the difference between quality and secon-tier ones is night and day. It might not be so apparent with electrolytics, but you might try sniffing the elctrolyte, if you can't see any difference in the foil."We have offered them (the Arabs) a sensible way for so many years.
