It looks like that first box contains mostly Samxon KM caps. Is there something wrong with that series?

I have kept all the caps I have replaced that weren't leaking.

The only really good reliable Samxon series that I trust are RS GD GC any others I have/heard of common failures.

That's interesting. The only good series are the ones that are commonly used to repair motherboards and power supplies.

Yes 47uF 400V of power supply settop boxes. All other bad cap of equipment that I repair -TV, monitors, receivers, fax machines, and various power supplies.

Yes, these power supplies are very strange, some overcook and burn, but many continue to operate normally.

Strange do you install any fans to cool them after repairs ?

Power supplies in the box is donors for the repair of other. In the receiver, I put a different model power supply, as they are more reliable, which do not overheat.

I had several 5 gallon buckets full. they started stinking up the shop, so I trashed them.

That why I keep mine in a sealed bag becuase it makes the room smell like mould, and sniffing the bag closely it smells almost like fish.

Those bad caps that emerged and smell bad, I throw in the trash immediately. In my Collections only very pleasant smelling instances.
