    Quick question.

    Hello everyone just a quick question I was recapping a psu for a tv and it had a weird value of cap 75uf 10v and I acually had this value in stock but its 6.3v and the voltage line its on is 5.5v will the replacement cap be fine as its quite close to its peak voltage or shall I Just put a 100uf 10v cap in its place ?

    go with the 100uf 10v. i've done that to many a PSU with strange values and they still work fine.
    Things I've fixed: anything from semis to crappy Chinese $2 radios, and now an IoT Dildo....

        Will do when I get home, just wandering would it be ok to use the 6.3v on that 5.5v line I usually like to keep the cap within 1v of the rated value, also being on the output the voltage may flicker up and down I will use the 100uf 10v just to be safer.

          no, 6.3v has no overhead for ripple.
          people will say yes, but i wouldnt risk it.

          put the 100uf in.
