    Re: Epoxy Buger Caps

stj, Thanks, guess I'll test all these from PCB and try to replace what is bad.

Question, How do you guys store your cap/resistor's? I've used plastic craft containers, seen 3-ring binders used for resistors.

nope, it just looks like a shitload of plastic trays on the wall.

OK, I thought you had retina scan just to get into your shack, lol.
I hate the scraping sound of them hard plastic drawers, maybe better units are available nowadays?

mine are actually plastic-frame, and coloured soft-plastic drawers with a cut-down front edge so you can see the content.

i had the metal ones and they pissed me off.

Exactly, them metal frames and hard plastic drawers sounded like chalkboards being scraped, then drawers would crack if I looked at them wrong!

                  this is more like mine.
the only difference is mine slide into a rack and these drop onto a wall-bar i think.

                    Re: Epoxy Buger Caps

Update: Removed PCB after unplugging the spegatti life support. The covering that is sprayed onto parts & PCB is making me choke a bit (even on O²). I have never dealt with spray coatings, been setting station temp at 350° and using sucker. I don't like to heat up PCB or parts but it takes a bit of time to get old solder to melt with spray coat. Should I increase temp? Please advise, still young enough to learn. Here is today's pic, will I need to remove all the ceramic bypass caps for ID sense numbers didn't match brands or can you guess the smaller one? Anything else you see I should replace while its out?

                    Thanks, JASTECH
