I recently got this old working GE clock/radio but I found something odd. I had to take it apart (it really needed cleaning) and I found a blueish green substance on the board, it looks like it came from the film capacitors shown below. After taking them out I was able to easily clean up the mess (no corrosion happened), but I'm wondering if I should replace the green caps.
Is this a problem that should be addressed? Or should I just reinstall the capacitors and forget about it?
