    Help with identifying this SMD cap

    the cap in question is off a laptop m/b
    Compaq presario C700
    can you tell me who makes them?
    are they electrolics or polymer?
    I need to replace a couple
    I know they are 220uf 6.3V smd
    but thats all I do know about them

    looks a lot like a chemicon solid polymer cap. If it turns out it really is one (wait for others to reply), there's no need to replace them. They don't go bad like normal electrolytics.. and if they do go bad, you'd notice.. *bang*

      It looks like electrolytic-type Aluminium capacitor as seen here:

        It is a electrolitic cap and also it is a you typed above 220u @ 6.3v make sure you put it backin the same way it came out. What is wrong with the C700?
