I forgot to mention exceptions about electrolytics, which inlcuded black (normally for 85C Chemi-Con units) KZJ (105C) being black with gold print.
Also, I remember reading about a series of electrolytic capacitor which was only available to OEMs (often custom made).

There are quite a number of those actually.
Off the top of my head...
Panasonic FL and Rubycon MFZ were never offered 'direct to the public'.
There are also custom sizes in established series' that are only sold directly to manufacturers.
