    Uh...oh...strange behaviour..

I have just finished recapping the bloated 3300uf 6.3v caps on a Epox DAE
It sarted but the little BIOS LED display never went past the second value
stopped it depowered and did the CMOS thing fired her up and was just about to give up when bingo it posted.
Then after a run it shut it self off
DEAD no fan no post nuthin
Checked the soldering for dodgy dry joints all over redid the CMOS thing and it started
I got the screen here CPU 47C Chassis 32C which is the current air temp
I'll leave it run for a bit
    Any suggestions?

Hp 15-n267sg Strange behaviour CMOS reset (502) , not a battery fault!
        by Ariu
        I have a problem with an hp 15-n267sg .
The device was not turning on because a faulty superIO.
After replacing the ITE chip it's working fine but the bios not at all, date and time keeps restarting (00:00:00 /01.01.2013)
and I am not able to make any bios settings change...
I didn't see this kind of strange behaviour on other devices , superIO is soldered properly and tried different bios dumps but same...

The CMOS battery is ok , what else can cause this?

HP 250 G7 - Battery Issue (Lid behaviour)
        by Federause
        Hi everyone,
I have an HP 250 G7 for assistance. I've changed the battery (the old was dead) with a not-original.
It has a particular behaviour that I've never seen:
With the lid open, the voltage is present on the relative pins. Upon a time I close the lid, after 5-10 sec. the voltage drops down to 0. If I re-open the lid, the battery keeps stuck in this situation. I have to connect the power supply to "resurrect" the battery. In this way, I can power on the laptop without any problem and also use it without the power cord. If i shutdown the laptop, keeps it with the...

        CMOS battery drains quickly
        by magistertc
This problem is based on my experience with an ASUS Z390 Prime motherboard, but it appears to affect other motherboards
as well Install a new CMOS battery, configure computer, turn off computer and disconnect from AC power or switch off SMPS.
Return somewhat later and find that battery is drained, dead, or weak. Clock is wrong, other settings lost, etc.

Examine the power 'sharing' circuit -- when the ATX 3V supply is on, the computer will function normally. The computer is also
configured to support the RTC and some volatile RAM (when SMPS is on). What you may...

ThinkPad T470 does not power up with CMOS battery attached
        by rumpumpel1
I have a ThinkPad T470 that will not boot when the CMOS battery is plugged in.
With only the fan, a RAM module and a USB-C monitor attached, but no CMOS battery, it starts up normally, i.e. after about 90 seconds and two reboots, it stops with a message to press F1 to enter date & time.
If the power is switched off and a CMOS battery is inserted, it restarts as described above. However, after switching it off and on again, it does not turn on. It draws almost no current and shows no sign of life.
I used a different CMOS battery and checked the components around the battery...
