    Sanyo WG fake

    Aware of the ebay seller: goodbuy711 - ALLPARTSPIPE but I guess that you all know that.

    One is Sanyo WG 6.3V 3300uf.

    The other "sanyo WG 25v 1000uf". from allpartspipe.
    10x23mm.


    Slighty different colour tone. Wierd bottom, X at the top.

          I just bought some Sanyo WG 3300uF 16v 10mm caps from eBay seller may139188, and they look like they may be fakes. I'd like a little confirmation before I confront the seller about this - can someone take a look at these caps and let me know if they're likely fake?

              Yup, the + shaped vent gives it away. It should have a K shaped vent. Throw them in a fire and watch them explode.
              I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

                  The bung also gives it away, it should have an elaborate bung, not just a flat bottom with some circles (on some of the caps? lol)

                  If you search for my forum name and Sanyo you should be able to find a post where I posted pics of some genuine Sanyos...

                      The seller I bought from has a return policy, but that'll require return shipping to China. It may end up costing more to ship them back then I'll get refunded. Probably depends on who you bought from. Some of these people probably knowingly sell fakes, so you may not be able to return them for that reason only.
