    identify this part

part has red arrow pointing to it, came off of a car audio amplifier "american bass vfl 100.1"

the only writing on the orange part is "2220 A 10" and it is located behind the RCA inputs (which i took out)

i am led to believe it is a "capacitor array" or a "network capacitor" although i could be entirely wrong.

      Re: identify this part

Either T-network varistor to protect semiconductors and filter signals (two ferrite beads) or capacitor network (again, two beads (in and out) with capacitor in between beads and grounded.

Usually see this on high quality stuff.

i have determined when i switched multimeter to ohms 200 and read the outer legs it measured .4 ohm on 200 setting.

              Re: identify this part

as Jack Crow said in the other thread, they're most likely ceramic filters.
you could bypass them (short the outer two pins together, leave the middle one out) but as long as they don't short to ground they should be okay.

as for the RCA jacks, you could shoehorn in any kind of RCA jack.
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/Dk...RAS2X2S01AU-ND would probably fit (datasheet: )

Maybe it's just a EMI filter component like

Just like Duncanbest had indicated, just a low value EMIF CERAMIC CAP FILTER. You can remove it and the unit will still function, it is used o help reduce RF interfererance like fom AM transmittter that some time you can hear the radio station from the audio amplifier.

They look like ceramic resonator. They work as oscilator or tuned filter.
