Vizio m550sv shutting off after boot up

Plug the set in and you get the amber logo then turn on with remote or button on side logo turns white screen comes on with vizio logo then shows the selected input for a couple seconds and shuts off. For a couple tries when i first plug it in it may stay on for a couple minutes and then you'll get picture then after another minute or 2 sound and eventually off. During the on time any functions were delayed by 5 to 10 seconds. You could hit menu then 5 to 10 seconds later it would come up down arrow then to 10 seconds the menu would move down one slot hit ok then 10 seconds later next sub menu would come up etc. Eventually it got to where it is now boots up and shuts off within a few seconds. Power supply seems fine from what i read and checked as do the voltage regulators, i bought the repair kit from ebae and once i saw what they gave me i tested those 2 fuses and regulators which are good so didnt change anything on the board yet.

Not sure if this TV is LED or CCFL backlights. Either way I would check that next and if that seems OK, I'll look then at the Main Bd voltages and see what is missing when it shuts off.

I think led. Im at work now will get some pics and voltages when i get home later. The bl voltage on the ps board jumps around a bit on startup as the screen brightness changes but i think this is normal. Lmk what you think i should check

Those Voltages and the signals are OK.
Need to check the LED driver board (the Green sub board on the power supply) to see what you have on the LED connectors. Need closed up pictures of the LED connector and the whole back side of the TV so we can see how all the boards are connected together.
This board looks like the board you have, please verify.

Sorry, I see all the board now.

So the connector on the LED driver green board that goes to the main board will be where the control signals for the backlights are, then the two white connectors CN302, CN303 with the wires going inside the panel will be where you need to test the LED Voltages (FB1~16 with ref to chassis GND) for each string of the LED, it has 16 strings of LEDs. You will have to turn the TV off, put red probe on FB1 then urn on the TV and take the DCV reading, record that reading, then turn the TV off and then repeat the same procedure for FB 2~16.

Could it be the eeprom or software issue? Any way to test or update?

                                Yurg,
what you are describing sounds like a main board issue more than anything else due to the delay on screen from the time you were pressing the buttons. This could be either software related, or another malfunction from the main board.

I got the input changed from rgb to hdmi and now it will stay on longer sometimes for 30 sec sometimes up to 5 minutes sometimes audio will come on after 45 seconds then video a bit later sometimes not. All functions are delayed like the processor is overworked or ram is filled up menu functions are delayed by 3 to 20 seconds per button push.

sounds like a mainboard issue whats the part number on the mainboard and from any stickers on the board as it needs to match your lcd panel

I am fairly sure there is no one capable of figuring this TV out I have replaced everything with new parts in mine except for my Timing control board I am about ready to order that and if it doesn't work I may just make a video of me bashing it in with a baseball bat and post it on youtube and see how many hits I get for the heck of it.

I could have had a couple of decent tv's with the money I spent on this thing.
