    Dad's hot rods

    From my favoritest movie ever!:
Cledus Snow: Can I ask you a question?
Bo Darville: Sure, ask me what?
Cleedus: What the Hell do we want to go to Texas for and haul beer back here? What is that?
Bo: For the good old American life. For the money, the glory, and the fun. Mostly for the money.

Webcam for monitoring a packaging station

I have a business I do work for that is moving to a different locations. I've been working for them for years. The company I used to work for did work for him before they went out of business and i've been taking care of them ever since

AAaaaanyooo one of the things they always did was have three employees have to use a Hd handheld camcorder to record packaging, take the SD card out and put it on a separate computer. I took the time down a lot by getting a USB 3.0 card in that system and a USB 3.0 card reader. Cut the time by well, a disturbingly high amount. But the SD cards (full...

    Systematically capturing webcam footage
    by Uranium-235
I have a customer who is moving (metal working shop, making curtain rods for interior designers) and in the past, due to the occasional complaint about missing pieces in shipping, they started filming the packaging, where they then take the SD card out, put it in a computer in the office, and copy the file to a USB 3.0 HDD. I replaced the PC's reader with a external USB 3.0 reader and it really flies, hardly takes any time compared to how it used to be. It's done with an HD handheld camera but requires two employees, and that's taking someone away from doing work. Also, these SD cards, even though...

    lightning rods
    by Poor Flick
AFAIK this would be where to ask this.
Anyone know the real facts about lightning rods on buildings? We had a direct or very nearby hit last spring. It damaged two TVs and a surround sound system. With all of the reading I've done it seems the theory is to give lightning a very low resistance path to ground around structures to prevent lightning from using wiring outside and inside the building to find ground. There are differing viewpoints all over the internet and here to the point its now confusing. Also I've been working on my house for some time making it into a sort of country type...

    Web Hosting/Email Service??
    by Michale32086
    Need some advice/recommendations..

I own several domains that I had parked at GoDaddy.. Attached to those domains were about 2 dozen different email addresses I used for my various projects..

I didn't really do anything with the domains, as far as web presence or anything.. Just pretty much left the domains languish in GoDaddy and used the GoDaddy CP to maintain the emails..

GoDaddy has since gone Darkside and converted everything to MS and OFFICE365 and I dare not follow...

Can anyone recommend a service where I can stick the few domains...
