Good morning, for fun and learning I am trying to expand the RAM in the Lenovo IdeaPad 100s 14ibr laptop motherboard
1001B_01_01 rev:SOVP2 I have already soldered 4 bones and completed the small parts around them. But the laptop still only sees 2 GB of RAM, I know that I need to remove some resistor, but I don't know where it is located. Here I am asking for help in finding the location on the motherboard. I only found this. I'm a beginner....

I have lenovo ideapad 100s-14IBR MODEL: 80R9 S/N YD01EZRX with password. I used dump from post 11 by peste to unlock it. It's ok but I have two problem after: the sound card is not available and the SSD port also is not available. I suspect that this bios dump
is not compatible with my mb. Please, someone can unlock the original bios dump that I will attach on this post. Thanks in advance....

I have same problem (burnt IC like on your picture), did you found out the specification of the 5-pin IC?
Probably some kind of voltage regulator?

Im looking for the schematics for this Lenovo model, is there anyone that can post that here?

need help guys.. Bios ic UX3 - 25Q64FWSIG no 1.8 volts

shorted 1.8ALW volts to ground. eeprom is ok


Findings : i disconnect the vcc from the circuit using jumper 1505 and test the output of the 2Z-3F F0V ic it produces 1.8v so i injected a 1.8v in the vcc of the eeprom and somehow the processor is heating up and it draws 2.090 amps .

my question is how much current does this ic can produce at normal level. does the 1.8vALW powered the processor.

am i dealing with a shorted processor?...
