Hello, just to let you know the chip SOUTHCHIP SC8885L found in a NM-E211 rev 1.0 board (Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 4) was perfectly replaced by a BQ25710, The boardview and schematics show a BQ25710 but the reality on the board is a southchip SC8885L. All surrounding component and their values were exactly as per the schematic.

So i gave a try and it worked perfect, it seems to be an equivalent.
Datasheet for BQ25710 is available, for southchip SC8885[U][B]L[/B][/U] I only found SC8885[B][U]C[/U][/B].

The original southchip on the board suffered from liquid damage,...

I have a Lenovo here that does not want to power on. The motherboard appears to be clean, no sign of corrosion or obvious fried components. When plugged in, I see 3 blinking lights and then off. It would cycle the 3 blinking lights every 10 seconds or so as long as I have the adapter plugged in. Amp meter shows 20 volts, 0.224 amps, no fan spin, red light indicator near the charge port.

Thermal camera shows a section of the motherboard that is warmer than the rest. It is near the connector labels JRTC1 (CMOS battery). Diode measurement to ground for pin 1 = OL,...

unit is a : Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 GE4B0 motherboard with the infamous QB6 mosfet de soldering off the board, however the usb c port was replaced by another shop not know the common issue. I replaced the qb6 with a AON7466 however the UB7 started to get really hot and unit would not turn on. I then replaced the UB7 and QB5. I now get 0V on VINT20_IN_F and VINT20_IN on both sides of F6106, however when I inject 12v on either side the unit boots up. Can this be an issue with the USB-C port not soldered properly? I so get 20V 0.039A on the usb-c meter. [TABLE]

Sounds to me like a corrupt BIOS, so I would get a CH341 adapter, reflash the BIOS (you can probably get a dump here on Badcaps) and I think you should be back in business. Make sure if there are more than 1 bioses to flash both. Let us know.

Plug charger in and it negotiates 20v but the USB C controller (UT2) Wont't drop pin 1 & pin 40 low to enable 20v to pass through UT5 to BQ (PU1). I've replaced all three chips with no change.
