Hello,
I've got this notebook not turning on. After tear down and connecting the charger I saw heating switch IC - UZ4 on motherboard. It is G5029ARC1D TDFN2X2 in schematic. There was sign of previous attempt to solder it. So I soldered out it, but didn't find what to replace it. So I took the same switch IC from this board UZ32, because here are two SSD slots. So I thought, that the second SSD slot will work. After placing UZ32 instead of UZ4 laptop turned on and works. But BIOS shows this error 2000-0155, which means "Hard drive not installed". I had to convert to uma this model too. I advice you firstly step by step check did you soldered everything corectly. Also very important, check 4x0 resistors. When I was soldering them, sometimes they was damaged (instead 0ohms became mega omhms), also check don't they contact to each other....Leave a comment:

Do admin and supervisor password is the same? I tried other BIOS dump. No changes. I found that supervisor password is in EC chip. I found EC dump on off site and it works, no password anymore, everything is okay. BUT, problem is how to move serial number info from old dump to new.

So, managed to find working EC dump from off site. It works well, but here is a problem. I also need to copy region with info about serial number to new dump. When I copy this area of code to new dump and turn on laptop, I get this message:
0177. Bad SVP data, stop POST task
Please help me to copy information about serial number to new code.

On days finally got SIO programmer and read the firmware from EC. What I should do further?
Briefly remind my problem. I got ThinkPad E15 gen2 (nm-771) with supervisor password.

Thanks. Installed all updates, all drivers including video and chipset, updated BIOS to newest. The situation became better, 88-90% when CPU fully loaded in AIDA64.

Hello,
This laptop came as slow computer. Typically problem are solved after changing HDD to SSD or/and changing thermal paste. But this time I put SSD to laptop and changed thermal paste. Partially problem solved and computer worked faster. But running stress test on CPU first several seconds CPU utilization is 100%, bet later start to decrease and gradually comes and stabilizes on about 70%. You can see it on a picture.
Does not matter, I run it without battery, or with only batter without power supply, or both supply and battery connected. BIOS had reset. No result.
