Just a thread to post clean VSS2 files/dumps in.A clean VSS2 file can, in some cases, fix
the infamous **"Endpoint Security" error message.
Be aware that if you use a clean VSS2 you may need to fill in missing DMI info using HP BCU !

I`ve included some clean files/dumps,offsets and a few scripts to autopatch a few models.
The offsets and file sizes are part of the naming convention i`ve used for the extracted
files.

hoaca388 has made an excellent guide how to extract the VSS2 file and edit/clean it up by
filling everything after...

Is it possible to extract bios password from Bios dump instead of clearing the password? I have a EliteBook 840 G8 and would really need to know some way to extract the bios password and se it in clear text.

For the 32 Mega the tools RCUnlocker give me this message :wrong chip , try reading and unlocking 16MB chip

so i read 16MB..unlocked..but the lap not power on now !

Can anyone help me to unlock the locked BIOS? Please help me, and I want to ask the teacher here, how to edit and unlock this type of locked BIOS for 32MB, while for 16MB I already know how to use RCunlocker, thank you, this is my laptop's 32MB sn.

First check this site to see if your HP is supported for the great tool Mazzif has made.

If your model is newer and not in that list, you need to dump your bios, remove password from dump and reprogram bios with modified dump.

For that you need an SPI programmer like CH341A or Raspberry Pi with Flashrom or any other similar programmer. A soic8 clip is also useful so there wouldn't be a need to unsolder bios IC.
