              Hello everyone,

I’m excited to join the Badcaps community! My name is Mahamudul Hassan, and I’ve been deeply involved in electronics and computer repair for several years. My main focus is on diagnosing and repairing laptops, desktop PCs, and especially gaming consoles. I enjoy troubleshooting down to the component level — from replacing faulty capacitors, MOSFETs, and ICs, to BIOS/UEFI work and board-level diagnostics.

I currently work in a local computer repair shop where I get hands-on experience every day, but I also spend a lot of time learning and experimenting on my own. Along the way, I’ve developed a strong interest in embedded electronics repair, data recovery, and custom firmware/ROM projects.

Outside of repair, I’ve also been building software tools (mostly using Electron.js, React.js, and Node.js) to support workflows like invoicing and diagnostics. I really enjoy combining my programming skills with my repair work to make the whole process more efficient.

I joined Badcaps because I’ve often come across valuable repair information here, and I’d love to both learn from the experienced members and share whatever knowledge I can contribute.

Looking forward to being a part of this great community!

              — Mahamudul

                                  Hello everyone,
I’m interested in laptop repair and BIOS programming, and I recently started learning how to use CH341A programmers.
At the moment I’m working on a Lenovo ThinkPad P50 with a Supervisor Password issue, and I hope to learn more here and share my experiences.

Thank you for accepting me into the community!

                                    Hello
Leo isn't my name, I have and breed Leonberger dogs in UK
I was ripped off with a "Lenovo v15 ADA 82C7" 2023 with supposedly 32gb ram, the reason I bought it.
It's been garbage since, for years.
I'll be honest, I am not good at replying as I don't spend too much time on computers and have cognitive issues due to a thing called PSC, connected to Crohn's disease. It's liver failure due to inflammation in bile ducts. My apologies in advance.
Trying to get it running better with more ram. Running w11 pro, I was reasonably tech confident, I find it difficult now lol.
Working on disabling soldered ram or disabling it physically, trying to get use of 32gb that was installed. I have an older laptop that's faster I can fall back on so nothing to lose. I was an electrical engineer and competent soldering btw.
I like Lenovo as wife's laptops all seemed great, so ripped off. Company no longer exists and knew it was for cad at the time. It's constantly crashing since new, thought it was me? w11 pro was new, Macs is what I had a few but refuse now due to planned GPU failure; every one the same.
Only delving into this laptop now as I will be spending quite a while in a specialist hospital soon so will be bored senseless.
Thanks and apologies if I don't reply.
                                    All the best to all.

Like to mod fix older boards. Occasionally have a go at modern boards for personal use.

commodore vic-20 programming was my first bite and i liked. schools z80 system and early RM nimbus, Gateway 2000 computers onto more modern systems.
