Baf :-P Hi guys, to keep myself from getting bored, I dig into everything and when I don't know what to do, I look for help and I know what it's like not knowing where to go. I have some experience with hardware and software, but my own memory is bothering me a little, so I have to keep reminding myself. Thanks for the welcome.Comment

Hello all,
I have always been interested in repairing electronics, and now am trying to move into actually designing them. I am an EE currently working with one of the larger semiconductor companies that y'all have likely heard of. I may design things for them, but my impostor syndrome kicks in when doing things for myself. I hope to join y'all and learn more.
Best,
Vikkypotnick.
P.S.: I am glad this is NOT a discord threadComment

Me uní a este foro porque sé que hay mentes experimentadas aquí, y espero contribuir mientras aprendo de todos ustedes.

Nice to meet you all.
I'm student who is not satisfied with this state of electronic world and his waste of devices.
I'm glad to be here to learn more of "behind the scene" stuff like some service manuals for some sort of old reliable devices.
Now, I'm facing the problem that my 10 yrs old iPhone 6S stops working properly and I need to fix it, so I found this forum. I love repairing stuff and building new in old bodies etc.
Now I think I'm done with my introductionComment

My name is Chris, I am a 30 years old embedded software developer working in the automotive industry. I am really passionate about learning new skills and repairing/crafting stuff. I came around this forum last week with the goal of repairing my faulty gaming laptop, indeed, I was video editing on it when suddenly a black screen popped and never disappearedI bought some stuff to try to repair it and learn as many things as possible about repair computers but nothing worked so far... I think I'll buy a new one as I already invested two weekends with no success and I can't really tell what's going on with it :S.
