Hi everyone, I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself.

I've been working with technology for quite a while now—back when a 200 MHz processor was still considered cutting-edge. My journey with computers started in the late '80s, with my first machine being a modest 8 MHz 286 and a 20 MB hardcard. These days, my focus is primarily on networking, though I also enjoy dabbling in programming and hardware projects whenever I can.

I tend to work behind the scenes here, helping set up services and occasionally offering some friendly tech advice. And, of course, I'm always up for a little tech banter!

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or want to chat about anything tech-related. I'm happy to help however I can!

Hello everyone, I am a self-taught electronics person, I am just starting my adventure with electronics. I created an account on this forum to be able to ask people for advice when I do not understand something, and to find useful files for the equipment I will be repairing.

I'm excited to join the BadCaps forum! My journey in IT began in the era of the TSR80 and evolved through the Commodore PET, VIC 20, 64, and 128, all the way to the Amiga. Eventually, I transitioned to IBM systems, both building and selling them. In 2007, I made the switch to MacBooks after being inspired by a NeXT computer I encountered during my university years. A professor had one in his office, and I was captivated—it felt like the best thing since the Amiga!

With Apple integrating NeXT technology into macOS, I knew it was time to take the leap, and I haven't looked back since. While I still work with both Windows and macOS, I find myself gravitating more towards the latter. Thanks to advancements in technology, I can seamlessly remote into my Windows work environment while enjoying Linux, Unix, and macOS applications on my Mac.

My career has taken me from hobbyist to Deputy Chief Technology Officer. Although I don't get my hands dirty as much anymore, I still cherish my hobbyist roots and continually seek to sharpen my skills.

Looking forward to connecting with you all!

Am a beginner in repairing electronics.......so far have only successfully repaired a ceiling fan and a car amplifier board. simple repairs so far. now am trying to repair my graphics card.
we all must start from somewhere......so my journey begins here.
