              Hello everyone!

My name is h0m3w0rk, and I have a deep passion for electronics repair. Ever since I can remember, I've been fascinated by how things work—and more importantly, how they can be fixed. From restoring old radios to troubleshooting modern computer components, I love the challenge of breathing life back into broken gadgets.

My journey into electronics began with curiosity and a few stubborn appliances that refused to work. After some trial and error (and a few sparks here and there), I found myself hooked. Over the years, I've gathered a variety of tools, knowledge, and experience, which I'm always eager to share with like-minded tinkerers and hobbyists.

I joined this forum to exchange tips, learn from your experiences, and help others who want to dive into the world of electronics repair.

Hi, I'm Vlad, 42 a handyman and a fix it enthusiast.

I've learned from experience that getting very complicated things done it's a lot to do with having patience to obtain a know-how

things that do often look scary, complicated and too much of a hard work, once understood clearly, turn out to be pretty simple tasks almost anyone can complete if they only knew what to do.

Forums such as these are an absolute gold for those who are often in the situation like mine, where my understanding of the issue I am trying to solve is limited, therefore I'm seeking guidance from other, more experienced in the field, more informed on the subject kinds of individuals who in their past have dealt with these kinds of situations and could share some ideas, shed some light on that what I am after...

Hello, I like to go by the name of "Grant Grey".

I do not have any technical academic background (or any academic background at all), but I like electronics and I get curious as to how things work.

I am a bit emotional, too much impulsive for my own good, hard working yet super lazy at the same time.

I do not have much experience but I did make the mistake of opening a lab on rented space...

I am trying to learn as I work and I am a bit scared of jumping in these waters too hard and fast.

I apologize in advance if I write some dumb stuff, I don't even have basic electronics concepts clear yet.

                            Thank you - Grant Grey.

                                Hi All
                                Great forum!
I've been messing with electronics since I was a kid in short trousers lol. I got a few good zaps from b/w CRT's and wireless sets. My first job was auto-electrician , but didn't like getting dirty so got to learn about computers starting with a sinclair Z801 , then a discarded 386 which I upgraded with parts from other trash lol, then built my first new PC a pentium 133!. then got a a job servicing juke boxes and fruit machines then document scanners. Now my interests are classic cars and fixing just about everything lol.
Now in my 60's and my eyes are strained and the parts are getting tiny .

Hi, I'm just a personal user. After my branded laptop fixed at official service center, it started to display blackout and broken pixels. During googling as usual, I occasionally found this forum with a lot of valuables! Wow! You're sooo amazing. I'm very glad to join with you all! I HOPE TO FIX MY LAPTOP BY MYSELF

My name is Benoit, from Belgium.

I am an electronic hobbyist since the 70's, analog and then digital. I messed seriously with the TRS-80 model 1 and so on.

My job is in IT, starting from programming but also network/PC early arrangements. HOwever I am more into overall IT solutions (applications, services, processes..) for the corporations.
I have more time recently and like to tinker with early pocket computers (PC-1500A, HX-20..), early chess boards (Fidelity, SciSys..), old PCs and programs, and many other electronic gafgets.
Another hobby is about hifi equipment, home-improved of course (CD players, DAC, amplifiers, speakers etc)

I like to try and fix stuff rather than replace.

Great community there is here, happy to participate.
