        Hi everyone,

I run a music studio / workshop in Scotland. I started with more general electronics repair - but more recently i got into micro-soldering repair. This seems like a wonderful community.

Hey, I'm Brandon. Been doing IT for years now, recently started doing some more board level stuff. This site has been a huge help tracking down Schematics and tips. When I first found this place I sent an IM to my coworkers with a link and a few of them have lurked here too. Outside of my day job I perform music at night

                      Hello everyone!
My name is Alexey, I am a former cellist, trying to learn board repair while working in local PC repair shop in Munchen. To my surprise, nobody makes it here, especially for normal laptop motherboards. people just buy a new device even if it worth changing something inside. However, i have already repaired few bad caps (literally) and learning with youtube videos every day.

I also have basic programming skills and a small ferret. I am also a co-developer of "The Polynomial" game series.

my first computer was Sinclair ZX 48k, now i prefer Intel i5 with 16Gb Ram

                                Hi All,
                                Ran from Givatayim Israel,

During the day I usually work on some wireless technology, and, when night comes, I try to repair our failing home appliances etc. (with modest success...) as well as work on some personal electronics projects.
                                thanks for a great forum!

I'll go for a nice and honest introduction... i suspect most of this forum will be over my head, but I'm looking to fix my TV, and some of the advice here is excellent, I already have a better understanding of what's going on I think.
Who knows, hopefully I'll learn some more!

Hi, I'm getting started in board-level repairs in Northern Virginia. I've been at this nearly 4 months on-and-off. Using board view software and schematics to work on mostly apple laptops and mobile devices. I have a great opportunity working with a recycling company that gets plenty of water damaged and otherwise not working devices, allowing me to get experience on pretty much trash before I start taking customer tickets. My boss is training me to eventually work on customer devices which he does daily. Happy to find a free forum, which I stumbled upon while searching a pp3v42_g3h problem on 820-3115 board! Cheers!
