I work in IT and try to save old and new devices from the heap by replacing upgrading and repairing whatever I can get my hands on.
I am mostly self taught and dabble in all kinds of different things.

Hello everyone,
Since I needed (apparently) to dive into yet another rabbit hole, here I am, doing my best to diagnose and repair stuff and, of course, encourage circular economy ;-)! Looking forward to interact! My abilities are more geared towards bigger stuff (I'm an automotive technician by trade, specialized in driveability and electronics system diag) but i've already started to get my hands dirty (well, less dirty than before) diving through broken items like laptops, unresponsive desktop/server motherboards, audio, etc.

Hi everyone! Super excited to be in my very first forum especially one about tech and solving tech issues.. im pretty new to this world haha i built my own pc last year first time and first pc ever. i just stopped my brother from throwing away his old pc because he said it was "broken" which i easily fixed and have running as my second pc now lol so a " free pc". Now i have an actual issue.. a real bubble buster..my gaming laptop which is a modest 2023 Asus Zephyrus ROG G16 (rtx 4060) i bought it online facebook marketplace.. great condition everything works except when i was tinkering around i set a bios password smjh i know i know... stupid is as stupid does yea yea .. haha yea so now of course im clueless as to what that simple little password i used is.. i havent noticed any cmos battery off jump.. i have taken a photo of the winbond eeprom chip.. ive tried some codes taking out the battery but i think i gotta do the whole bios dump thing and use these complicated software tools.. man if anyone could give me the abc's on em i swear ill sing your praises from a mountain top! Hello Overlord85! please oh please if you could lend me your expertise! i am fairly new to the pc game period .. but after a couple builds n oh i converted my old chromebook into a linux book hahaa i now am trying to clear this godforsaken bios password off of my asus zephyrus rog g16 (2023) gaming laptop! i only have the laptop to play my favorite game on the go.. call of duty warzone.. and i cant play anymore because of secure boot! and it just sucks soooo bad lmao i have to use these complicated software toolsz to do a bios dump n etc etc but im having trouble understanding the steps involved...
