Hi,
I'm an auto electronics person these days, mostly working on vehicle immobilser systems and related electronics. In the past I've worked with PC electronics, TCP/IP networks, wide variety of Internet programming languages, and before that wrote games on C= Amiga. I'm regularly amazed how often similar problems repeat across technologies and the generations.

I was standing near the badcaps.com door and someone just pushed me in, so that's how I got here. Introducing myself as a failed electronics repairer. I burn boards with soldering irons. Heat damage PC boards with my heat gun. Buy all kind of things that will help me be a better electronics repair technician but still can't really afford to buy the exact hardware all of my heroes use. Also have been burned by some of those heroes maybe because they were just too damn busy to give a crap and reply professionally to my requests, oh well, no more business for them.

Since I'm here, I notice there's a lot of BIOS files being shared here, would like to see if any of them work. Was worried that I wasn't going to be able to take out the BIOS chip without blowing up the motherboard, but I did it. And I think I got it read, so now let's see if I can write to it.
