I'm mostly interested in board views, sinse I have a very little knowledge about electronics, but i am moderate at soldering and microsoldering. Trying to repair stauff, escecialy laptops, mobile phones, and computers in general. Hope to learn something here, because I heard this is the best place.

            Cheers

Hi there. I'm Ike. I'm gonna be super hones. I bought a second hand ThinkPad T480 and it came with a BIOS lock but they lost the password. I found a post here that could help me but I need to sign up to the forum to download the files I need.

Hey all, 56 year old faulty motherboard prodder here, have been into electronics fault finding for around 30 years, within the last 6 months I have built up a pretty good SMD micro soldering station and have all the equipment, with SMT I feel as if I am starting from scratch and am enjoying the challenge, I buy faulty gaming laptops and repair them and have a pretty good success rate thus far, the bane of my existence right now is Razer Blade 15 laptops for which there dosnt seem to be any boardview schematics, I managed to discover that MSI make Razer Blade motherboards and am on a search for 3 boards, thats why I am here in the hope someone started this perilous journey already and have made a discovery, looking forward to maybe helping where I can and asking for help.., thanks for the acceptance.

Thought I would post a picture of one of the boards I bought from a Razer Blade 15.., seller said a technician done this and I asked him if he had a shop did it say Laptop Reaper above it.

I guess I'll throw my hat into the ring now. I go back a way with Topcat, while he was still in the electronics biz, when a 200 mhz processor was a sight to behold. I've been using computers since the late 80's (first machine was an 8 mhz 286 with a 20 meg hardcard) and am mostly a networking guy with a helping of programming and a side of hardware. Most of my involvement around here is behind-the-scene stuff, mostly setting up different services, and as always, needling topcat for still running windows. Anything else you want to know, feel free to ask.

                          Hi everyone,

I'm excited to join this forum! I've always had a passion for electronics—something about understanding how things work at a circuit level just clicks with me. I enjoy diving into schematics and figuring out how components interact, whether it's for learning or troubleshooting.

From time to time, I like to repair electronic devices—not professionally, but for myself, family, or friends. Whether it's fixing a broken gadget, replacing faulty components, or just bringing an old piece of tech back to life, I find the process both fun and rewarding.

I'm here to learn more, share what I can, and hopefully connect with others who enjoy the same hands-on, curious approach to electronics. Looking forward to being part of the community!

i've always used computers because i enjoy almost everything about them. Unfortunately i have never worked exclusively on computers. I doubt there is much i could teach anyone here but i am eager to learn and any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

                              Hi.
My name is Grigor. I'm and electronic engineer and embedded programmer with an experience more than 20 years.
As a real engineer I like to make and modify real hardware.
I started my engineering experience on programming PIC microcontrollers in assemble language and writing software for PC on Turbo pascal.
Now I can also program in LabVIEW and C/C++.

Not quite a new fella to computer building and repair, had a C64 then Tandy something that couldn't play a mp3 file till i upped the ram to i think 1mb but went to hog heaven when i bought a compaq sewing machine portable (predecessor of the laptop) and was a node on the Fido net. I took that compaq apart so many times because every day it would cut off i would take apart and put back together and it would work fine for another day. took me 2 weeks of this before on a forum like this (BBS) i found out it was overheating and just moved an expansion card over a slot and problem solved. Been working on them and building them ever since (the 80's)
