Hello! I thought upgrading a HP laptop were just like other drop-in upgrade but apprently it's not, so I am seeking answer on this forum, this will be one of my prime certified HP moment.

Me chamo Manassés e, assim como muitos por aqui, sou mais um daqueles que não consegue ver um eletrônico parado sem querer abrir e entender o que está acontecendo 😅

Sou técnico em eletrônica, com foco em manutenção de notebooks — especialmente os de alto desempenho. Trabalho com isso há alguns anos, e acabei fundando minha própria assistência técnica. A parte boa é que estou sempre fuçando nos hardwares mais brabos do mercado. A parte ruim? Notebook com placa de vídeo torrada não perdoa ninguém 😢

Minha paixão por tecnologia vem desde pequeno (minha filha que lute pra me tirar do multímetro). Comecei mesmo a mexer com computadores lá pelos anos 2000, mas meu interesse por eletrônica começou bem antes — lembro até hoje de desmontar coisas que nem estavam quebradas só pela curiosidade. 😄

Além do trabalho, curto também explorar temas mais técnicos em fóruns e compartilhar um pouco do que aprendo no dia a dia. Cheguei aqui depois de ver uma discussão num fórum sobre motherboards, e quando vi o nome badcaps, fui direto no link. Pensei: “opa, tem fórum? Já é!”

Então é isso. Estou por aqui pra aprender, trocar ideias e, quem sabe, ajudar alguém que esteja tentando ressuscitar aquela mobo com capacitores inchados. 😎

Hi all,
I am Tim from Belgium and am not afraid of "start to repair" anything which breaks.
I have a Asus laptop which stopped working after I connected it to an universal adapter in my car to program the ecu.
The laptop suddenly shut down and there was a small smoke appearance. I already opened up the laptop and discovered a burnt item.
That's where I need help from a fantastic forum like this to guide me in the good direction in a chance to save this laptop.

Hello. Just found this community. I've a Dell G7 17 and the power has died ie no LED, no power on, no power on the battery. I have checked and gthe power is reaching the motherbaord so really looking for a schematic so I can trace the power on the motherboard. I'm experienced in fault finding from way back in the day and the G7 is long out of warranty, so before I buy anything like a battery etc, then I thgouht I'd do a little investigating of my own.
