    TOSHIBA 32" LCD Vertical Lines

Any idea about what's going on with this LCD TV? Photo attached.

How should I determine it's the logic board's problem or the LCD panel?

    Many thanks.

It's a bit hard to determine which is at fault, so try carefully removing and reinserting the connectors between the LCD panel and logic boards.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

I once had similair issues with a LCD tv. Problem was a faulty 3,3V regulator on main board. (where all the processors are)

There are two ribbon connectors from logic board to the panel, I removed the left one then the left half of panel went black, the other side remained the same picture as before, same thing happen with the right side. Reconnect them, back to what it was. Does this mean the faulty is in logic board?

Now that voltage regulators are mentioned, I should add checking the voltage regulators, DC-DC converter outputs and power supply board outputs before removing and reinserting the connectors between the LCD panel and logic board.

I know this is an old thread, but maybe this will help someone doing a search.

I had that problem on a Sony KDL-32XBR4. The problem was a 9.1 K ohm surface mount resistor on the back of the LCD driver board. (T-con). The surface mount components are all capacitors, except for that one resistor. (Maybe there needs to be a badresis.net web site.)
I don't know if the Toshiba is similar, but it may be worth a look for a cheap fix.
