Ok Im trying to figure out wat ios wrong with my lcd tv. It bagan last nite when it just turned off . Wouldn't come back on. Later the next day unplugged it to reset it. It came on with backlight on. However that and sound is all i had. no onscreen menus or anything. Also the green power light was on. Is this a possible inverter problem or something else. i have the back off and was looking for aNYTHING UNUSUAL WITH THE INVERTER, BUT AM NOT SURE WAT TO LOOK FOR OR IF THIS IS THE PROBLEM. aNY HELP WOULD B GREATLY APPRECIATED.

T-CON board failures is very common on Sony LCDs.
I don't know why this particular Sony suffers from this that why I'm very reculent.

How can u be sure that is what it is.. the backlight is on when i turn it on. And if it is this... is it as easy as unplug and plug in new one. I dont know very much about this and where is this usually located thanksComment

ok Since no one has responded Im going to order part.. now is the part on number on the board as mine says fs hbc2lv2.4. Is this all it needs to match up and work, also as stated above can i just swap the old with the new, or is there something else that needs to be done. Figured if its not this i can resell on ebay. You are new and don't know, but Wizard is pretty much the final word on this subject matter. No one else responded because no one else knows more than Wizard.
Of course, no one is 100% certain/correct given the limited information you have provided.
edit: Troubleshooting and repairing LCD and plasma TVs is WAY HARDER than fixing a computer 17 inch LCD monitor.--- begin sig file ---

I am currently on a troubleshoot of 46” Sony KDL-46BX450 tv. I came back from Washington to Texas on medical emergency and had to leave all my tools up there. All I have is a couple of screwdrivers and a dvm. I wish to ask the community a troubleshooting question. Please forgive stupid questions as meds I am taking produce brain fog.
I have well maintained Sony KDL-46BX450. It went black one day. After turn-on, I get solid green light and Sony logo in screen center for about 1-2 seconds, then black. No blinking LEDs, no hissing. Flashlight test shows screen characters dimly viewable,... -
I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40V2500 that will not power on. The indicator flashes red 3 times.
I do not hear any sound and I cannot see any backlight.
I have tried disconnecting every cable on each board one at a time to see if anything changes.
The only change is when I disconnect AC-DET cable on the Power Supply board or on the other end if I unplug the CN7009 connection on the B-Board and try to power on the TV the indicator will stay on solid green until I power off.
My friend ordered another used power supply board but it is also doing the red indicator flash 3 times... -

i have this sony bravia kdl-43w755c which boot loops. After sony logo, it shows the android animation loading then it restarts…
from what i read online it looks to be an emmc issue…
i’m not familiar with this kind of tv repairs… i’m repairing laptops and gpu’s…
i took out the board and say an samsung 16gb emmc
i don’t have an exact replacement, but i have a few 32 and 64gb emms’s from laptops…
i could try to put one instead of the 16gb one, but will it work?
where do i get the software from?

I also have Sony Bravia, model:
Sony Bravia KD43XF7596BAEP - Android.
What happend is that image dissapeared while we were watching tv.
Diagnostics:
1. TV turns on, no errors
2. Backlight turs on, no errors
3. Power indicator turns on, white color, no errors
4. Menu works on android, you can hear sound while switching channels
5. Volume up and down works via TV remote and via buttons
6. Tunner works, HEVC / MPEG-4 decoder works
7. I get audio from channels
8. No picture is present,...
