    Samsung LCD LE40R86 no picture

Today I got two Samsung LCD tv's model LE40R86 with the standard cap problem. The first was a successful repair, but the second refuse to start up the screen. I even swapped powersupplies but that makes no difference.
Both powersupplies works in the "OK" tv.
It seems like when the TV tries to start up the inverter and lamp, the set goes into protect. What could be wrong, the lamp perhaps?
Haven't done much in this area, so any advice is welcome!

Well, you've established it isn't the power supply. Without pictures, the other possible candidates are the main board and POSSIBLY the inverter. Usually the inverter does not return a status signal to the main board, but it might possibly be overloading the power supply.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

There are a connector to the Inverter board, +12V and one of the other poles were marked "FB", could this be feedback perhaps?
Maybe this is used as a status signal if the inverter operates?

What a joke! Both Samsung's had capacitor problems in powersupplies.
The first TV will not give any picture. Shuts itself off when inverter should start.
The other TV both pic and sound works (halleluja).
I swapped powersupplies - no help for the tv without picture
I then swapped main boards, then the picture was there.
I swapped back mainboards, back to the begining again.
TV was put for final test, suddenly after one hour the TV shuts off.
It now act exactly as the other, which refuse to give any picture.
Exactly when the inverter is to start, it shuts off, tries again, shuts off, repeats
Obviously BOTH main boards are bad,
Even worse, they are no longer available to order. What a joke!

What is the main/b's part number?

          P.S.
It's good to have two identical item for checking error etc, saves lots of time.

See attached picture. Chip in the middle of the picture gets hot when set is trying to startup. Another SSB replacement necessary perhaps?

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                  by TR103
                  Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                  - sound and backlight, but no picture
                  - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                  - it keeps rebooting
                  - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                  - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                  - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                  - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                  by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                  Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                  by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and
                  ...

                  Hello all,

This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...
